HOLLYWOOD, FL – The 2022 CEDIA Awards in the Americas region named Premium Digital Control & Automation one of the Top 10 (Smart) Technology Finalists for its awarding ceremonies scheduled on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. CDT at CEDIA Expo East & West, 3/FD Ballroom. It will also be live-streamed on CEDIA’s social media channels.
Premium Digital Control was named finalists for two projects — two luxury oceanfront residences located in Miami with a combined value of $40 million.
In one residence, Premium Digital Control provided a one-touch all-powerful Crestron system, making it one of the most automated spaces in the ultra-rich 45-story residential building. The installations included a multi-zone audio system; automated shades with drapery tracks; centralized smart lighting; surveillance cameras, and enterprise-grade network as well as TVs, ceiling lifts, a pool control system, and a climate control system. They were simplified and seamlessly integrated based on the homeowner’s request.
The other residence, a $21.5-million 9,000-square foot residence, got an audio and video system makeover, lighting and shades, HVAC and surveillance cameras on the back of solid structured wiring and a Control4 system.
“The client wanted a smart home system that would be easy to use as if it were an everyday household appliance. He was happy that we fulfilled his wish,” says Shaun Elwin, Project Manager and Design Engineer of Premium Digital Control & Automation.
Premium Digital Control has received many accolades for its projects.
Last year, Premium Digital Control won the DMF Lighting award, “Best Use of Multiple DMF Lighting Products” for its outstanding work on a 9,000-square-foot penthouse at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles Beach.
As its main project manager, Elwin led the team in turning the 9,000-square-foot space into a dream smart space, featuring 178 base and accent spots to house adjustable LED downlighting to illuminate the room flow, wall artworks, and the natural beauty of the location. Premium Digital also made exemplary use of the minimal profile of DMF’s modular OneFrame system.
